Global Liberal Studies Announces “Global Secularisms” Conference

The Global Liberal Studies Program at New York University has announced its inaugural academic conference on the topic of Global Secularisms. The conference will be held at NYU on November 15 and 16, 2013. Conference participants include the following scholars: Maryam Namazie, Rajeev Bhargava, William Connolly, Philip Kitcher, Robert Richards, Bruce Robbins, Michael Warner, and David Sloan Wilson, amongst others. A Call For Papers has been issued. The conference steering committee welcomes papers from scholars and creative authors from the major divisions of the academy, including the humanities, social sciences, and sciences, as well as from independent scholars and writers from outside of the academy.
